Ch. 2 My move to college

Day one on campus

Here I am at my new dorm and I gotta say it does not seem natural having so many young people cooped up in one place but who am I to talk as I only just got here and don't know how things work yet. The people here seem a lot friendlier than they did in the city, wonder if thats because we are all away from our homes and feeling unsure of ourselves, as this gentleman who called himself a Professor was right there not long after I got there to say hi. And wow they even have a cook here which is really really good as cooking is NOT one of my fortes. My mum shoos me away from the kitchen as I tend to burn things, but I am hoping to improve that skill soon.

And wow look at all them fine looking girls here. I think I could really get to like it here with so many others my age (and it sure don't hurt to have so many fine looking women either). I know I wont be in any hurry at this stage to find myself a girlfriend as I have places to go and girls to meet errr make that people to meet. There is so much to do, classes to go to (fancy that having timed classes), papers to write up (I know I am going to get cramped hands), assignments to do (didnt realise I had so much to learn), and skills to study (pity they dont match the skills I bought from the forest, ie; hunting tracking etc)

This studying logic looked really easy but it makes my brain hurt trying to work out which piece can move where to do what to another piece. Ok not gonna say that 5 times fast as I could get really confused then, just gotta keep at it I guess and I am sure it will get easier. Why folks sit there for hours moving them tiny pieces around is beyond me but they say its part of the curriculum so I will keep working at it.

Phew first class over and done with and it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be. I even met 2 new Professors who said they would be more than happy to help with my grades and that all I gotta do is give them a call. Real nice of them to say that as I know I am going to need all the help I can get!

Dinner time and my first day is nearly done (thank goodness) but I am a little concerned as this girl seems to think we all should be wearing hard hats on campus though why she thinks that is beyond me as the only really bad thing I have seen is the food, it tends to go off rather quick and its real stick to your ribs type food to so I know I am going to have my work cut out keeping the weight of and the bod looking this good. I have met several of the girls here and they are all really nice girls but I am sticking to my guns and waiting till I meet one that really takes my fancy (hope its soon is all I can say). Time to hit the sheets so I am refreshed and ready to face a new day.

He seems to be settling in quiet well. I knew he would be alright.
